Harold, I didn't see your comment about LI market segmentation. You're right, few see LI as a unit, but I think that's a mistake on a number of levels. It's especially problematic in understanding demographic shifts and their past and future impact. For example, I don't see how govt and businesses in Nassau and Suffolk can plan for the future w/o understanding the migration flow of people across borders.
Contrary to what some folks think or desire, there's no river, moat or wall separating Queens and Nassau.
I appreciate your support, Harold. BTW: See -- http://tinyurl.com/mn4kvf -- on LatinoLongIsland for the US Census #s. But understand that I refer to the geographical entity that is Long Island, including Queens, Kings, Nassau & Suffolk counties. Where in Jersey are you? Are you a blogger?
Saw you were possibly coming to SXSW, cool. If you want to know who is coming, here is a link that I use http://do512.com/sxsw2009/bands. Thanks Manny.
Saw you comment on Sonidero Nacional, me gustan. Check out Kumbia Queers, http://www.myspace.com/laskumbiaqueers. They are one of my favorite groups from Mexico. Tell me what you think. Thanks, Manny.
Harold, amigo, how's NJ? Texas is fine. I like music too. I blog about groups I've seen: Los Amigo Invisible, Monte Negro, Los Hollywood and many more. Check out my blog, I think you'll like it and the musical groups. http://www.mannygocrazy.blogspot.com/
